Cobalt Paladin: Year One (snippets)

This happened during my first year. Very often I get asked how many staff are there in the company.

Potential client, "How many staff do you have in your company?"

I'll reply,"Currently, three."

In my heart, I'll be thinking, "Me, myself and I." :p

*****************************************************

I had installment plans for my products and services when I started. Another question I get asked by this particular client.

Another potential client, "How old is your company?"

I'll reply, "8 months now."

Potential client, "Huh? How can I trust your company, it is so new?!"

I was like,"..........."

How do you answer this question when your client is even younger at only 2 months???

I thought I'm the one with more risk???

Haha, that's nice to hear.

I had this problem too then.

Usually, I would counter this by informing them our our corporate vision and culture and that what we see ourselves doing in time to come, where we are and how we can do this is by working with this client of ours.

It is unfortunate though that in Singapore, it is often very hard to trust start up companies. Coming from being a start up company myself, I experienced many other start up companies who do not have the integrity nor character to live up to expectation. There are a lot of hit and run companies which does taint the reputation of many industry here, welp, at least in mine, it is terrible....
