Should Be Sleeping
Been busy and still am.
Since my son started his primary school, I'm still trying to adjust to the new schedule. Been getting only 5 or 6 hours of sleep and this is wearing me down. Actually, it is not because I've been fetching him to-and-fro from school that is wearing me down. It is the fact that I've not adjusted to the new hours and coupled with unbridled amount of work that is wearing me down.
Coupled with the fact that Chinese New Year is arriving in approximately a week's time and I have not done my part in spring cleaning yet. If you see my towers and towers of books and unread magazines stacked and strewn all over the floor, it would make any grown men weak and cry in despair. This is adding stress to my already furrowed forehead.
It is also exhausting to call clients to chase for payments. It is not something I enjoy. I feel bad that I've to call them to chase for payments. I feel worse when the client feel nonchalant about paying late or not paying at all. It is emotional draining. It makes you wonder if there is hope in the human race.
I still have many (too many) outstanding long term projects waiting for me to wrap my head and arms around it.
Well, the good news for the week is that I've managed to clinched about $20k work of deals in a few days of work. It is good to be able to get these amount of deals now because the coming months are predicted to be bleak. The next worry is whether the payment for these new contracts will come in a timely manner.
I really should be sleeping. If not, I won't have enough sleep and I'll go through the day like a waking zombie. This would affect my efficiency and productivity. Worse, I'll constantly feel tired.
Yes, I'm tired. I really should be sleeping.
P.S. My router just died. This means I need to find time to get myself a new wireless router. Argh!

does it help if you tell your clients, settle all the payments before CNY or they will get bad luck?
Haha! Actually, we were tempted to tell the clients but it just didn't feel like it sounded professional. :p
